After studying for a degree in communication and illustration design in Hamburg, Germany, Janina worked as a designer in both Germany and England, before settling down as a freelance designer in Paris, where she currently lives with her husband and her young daughter, Malyn.
With the arrival of her daughter, Janina’s love for painting and drawing found a new lease of life and, before long, she began combining her passion for illustrations with the wonderfully inspiring world of children. After that, it was simply a matter of time before Tovi was born…
Tovi books are designed in a simple animated way to give young readers the impression of watching a short film where Tovi and his friends play out their adventures. The books are aimed at children aged 2-6, who hopefully will join Tovi in his mini-adventures, and learn something about life and the world around them.
As the loveable characters in these books share a whole range of experiences, they learn about sharing, about helping each other, and most important, they learn the value of friendship. You’ll be surprised what an exciting time little penguins can have!
