Tootsa MacGinty launched 5 years ago with unisex clothing for children ranging from 0-8 years with colourful, creative and bold graphic-driven apparel.
The wild, rugged Scottish countryside and the vibrancy of Scotland’s capital city is the inspiration behind the unisex children’s wear brand Tootsa MacGinty’s AW15 collection.
For this season designer Kate Pietrasik, has used beautiful Scottish fabrics including traditional tartans and stunning Fair Isle knits in bright colours. Scottish animals including deer, puffins, scotty dogs and the mythical Loch Ness Monster can be found printed, appliqued and embroidered on knitwear, sweatshirts and peeking from trouser pockets.
Colours are rich and are inspired by walks through the Scottish countryside – heathers, teals, plums, bracken, berry reds and slates are mixed with warm nutmeg, bronze and golden honey yellow.
New for AW15 is a range of beautiful hand-knitted merino wool fox mittens, scarves and hats, all handmade in the UK.
We really appreciate the age appropriate designs and how they stay looking good wash after wash.
Supremely practical, the mix and match collections are ideal for layering to suit the temperature and changes in weather, with a range of fabrics, patterns, prints and plains, allowing you to be as creative as you like putting outfits together.
