Winter is all about wrapping up warm right? Hence we’re often looking for clothes where the emphasis is practical and comfy first, and fashionable probably comes as an second thought.
But for little girls it’s a double edged sword, wearing long skirts in snow and rain is just not an option, so despite being comfy and warm, they are pretty difficult to wear in an effective manner when it’s cold. Not that we have had any snow in the past 3 years, but even so you get my point. We end up compromising the practicality of a nice warm long skirt for pants or shorter skirts and tights.
Last weekend I bumped into Rima when I attended a photoshoot for a well known French brand, and I fell in love with her maxi dress by the brand Seam straight away. I quickly snapped a couple of photo’s of her, so you can sneak a peek at their collection made from winter-friendly fabrics. As you can see the dress features a comfortable fleece bodice with a grosgrain ribbon detail at the empire and a voile cotton bubble skirt with bird print that reverses to reveal a different look inside.
Seam designs clothes that allow a girl to look like a girl and move like a child, adapting gracefully from the park to the party – which is just perfect in our eyes.
