It may be sunny now, but we all know that April means sudden showers. Rain doesn’t have to stop play though and those little downpours pose a great opportunity for singing in the rain, stomping and splashing in puddles — and generally having a great time.
But it’s important to have good, cool, great looking rainwear. Luckily Oil & Water is one of the most stylish rainwear brands for girls from 2 – 14 years old. Their coats are waterproof (obviously), wind-resistant, and have soft inner linings with deep pockets, perfect for keeping those special treasures in.
Oil & Water’s SS15 ‘In Full Bloom’ collection features exclusive prints by designer Tawfik Mounayer. Mounayer is probably best known for his clothing line Tribune Standard and his design work for Isaac Mizrahi. This time he collaborated with Oil & Water founder Amy Wismar, and the signature is multi-colored raindrops and abstract florals. This dressy rainwear, with inner linings popping with bold colours, and designs features sweet, feminine details like ruffles, twirly skirts, and quilting that captures the essence that is the colourful and imaginative little girl.
The only thing missing from their collection? Boys designs… don’t panic though, the word is that they will soon be releasing some equally fashionable options for them. Come on, boys need sophistication too!

It was a pleasure meeting Amy’s daughters in Paris last Thursday. Always nice to have to helping hand when walking the dogs.
