Last weekend, very early in the morning, I hopped on the train from Gare du Nord, Paris, to Rotterdam, Holland. In about 2.5 hours I arrived at Rotterdam Central Station to go the Mama Event, a lifestyle event for Mummies and Mummies-to-be.
Still not awake yet I bumped into a cosy living room from the restaurant ‘ Stations huiskamer’. I felt at ease there and bought myself a latte vanilla and a tuna sandwich. Oh I couldn’t wait to go as I was so curious which new children brands I could spot at the mama event. And I saw some true gems !
The FLAPP from La NouNou is an object you can use as a room divider, a children s tent, a house , a puppet show or schoolboard.
Little Indians, a new brand, has a great collection of leggings and shoes made of the finest materials, inspired by the two little Indians of Vanessa de Kock – Erasmus. Some inside information is that she also organized the 100% mama event.
A tough looking baby and toddler clothing brand, for boys only is Lucky No7. NAÏF Babycare creates nurturing and soothing products that protect the sensitive baby skin. By using only nature’s best ingredients. Another nourishing organic babycare brand is Petit et Jolie. Both brands are very delightful to use and smells very babylike.
Kyboka is probably the coolest and most versatile cart to move your gear to the best spots outdoor. While I think the Kyboka is very handy to move the kids from one place to another, you can use it for several other occasions. Feel like throwing a party!!
The girls behind Oh So Pretty Party are making your party come alive with custom made stationery, cards and party goodies. Tis Lifestyle has its own unique and timeless brand that designs and manufactures products in limited edition. For the nursery, but also for your kitchen or living room. It is cheerful, fresh, unisex, and súper easy to combine. Inspired by the simplicity of Scandinavian and Japanese prints. TiS is a total concept! Then I saw some nice babyclothing from Sproet & Sprout and lovely handmade products from Lost and found.
Lennebelle petites born out of a true mother heart. Lennebelle Petites is a jewelry collection that celebrates the love and special connection between a mother and her kids. It was love at first sight when I saw these precious handmade jewelry. Really awesome to see the creativity and passion behind all these new brands and collections.
Afterwards I had some great time with my friends at Deliplein, a true new hotspot in Rotterdam, we went to Kopi Soesoe first to eat some delicious bananabread with maple syrup and had dinner at the Vislokaal. Seriously delicious and healthy!! Nearby I spent the night at the SS Rotterdam .Staying at the ss Rotterdam – the impressive and prestigious schip – is an experience!
Aboard the former flagship of the “Holland Amerika Lijn” you still experience the rich history of back in the day. The luxurious cruise ship now has a permanente berth at “de Kop van Katendrecht” in the south-centre. So after a nice breakfast it was time to head home again!
Mama event I hope to see you next year!
Much amour,
Lisa
