‘What a pretty shirt you are wearing‘ are not words that most boys want to hear.
But, news just in: boys are allowed to wear items of clothing that are patterned. And, would you believe it, there are options above and beyond the average checked shirt. Some designers have offered this decorative option very successfully for years and this season we can add Joepia Paris to the list with their amazing first collection.
Joepia Paris’s first SS15 collection features classical designs including beautiful liberty prints for both boys and girls that are synonymous with classic florals, charming colour palettes with colours such as watermelon red and lilac and delicately detailed prints.
Alexander is wearing a classic boys shirt by Joepia Paris in a mix of my favorite floral prints from London’s Liberty Art Fabrics called Emma & Georgia. The shirt is made of an exquisite cotton lawn fabric that is finely woven, light weight and ultra soft.
If you don’t know already, Liberty is best known for its iconic prints dating back to the 1880s: super-busy, small scale floral prints that are – well – pretty.
Flowers aren’t the only theme in Joepia Paris’s boy collection this season. Thrown into the mix are the ‘Queue For The Zoo’ fabric design as well.
