Recently I had the amazing opportunity to shoot the spring/summer lookbook for www.kidshop.fr!
Kidshop is a online store based in Paris and has a great mix of beautiful and fun clothing and shoes, my favourites are Troizenfants, Sunchild, Mini Rodini, and Feiyue! They not only sell clothes but great accessories like sunglasses, creative toys, home decorations for children and even party accessories by My Little Day.
We shot in the area of Le Marais in Paris, and were so lucky to have such a beautiful, summer like day to shoot on! Ileen found an incredible area (that I recommend both for Parisian and tourists) of passages, that were quiet and perfect for playing! I was surprised as each passage kept leading to another like a really beautiful maze. These passages I believe are mainly residential and have a few cafes and small shops. I believe this is definitely one of the hidden gems of Paris (one of the many!).
We had a great group of kids at the shoot, many of them already knew each other and were friends and were so excited to see each other again! We had one beautiful and sweet new girl come to the shoot, Rima, who fit in so perfectly, it was like she had always been part of the group!
The kids enjoyed playing hide and seek, tag, climbing things (as usual with my shoots!) and a big highlight for them was riding the in the front of the fabulous Babboe bicycles belonging to blogger Tiphaine from Simples et Purs. We her and her kids to meet them while shooting in their neighbourhood, and the models all lined up for rides in the Babboe, they were thrilled! After around two hours of shooting and playing we finished our shoot with many happy children who did not want to stop shooting/playing or eachother.
I had a great feeling during this shoot, it was so relaxing and this feeling proved to be true when I started editing the photos. The happy kids and bright colours all make me smile, and I hope they make you smile too!
