In a couple of days the creche will close for the summer so what am I going to do until the beginning of September?? On holiday yes, but the rest of the weeks…. I’m running out of ideas… Parc de la Villette is high on my list of places to visit.
The Parc de la Villette is an ultra modern gigantic park that leads us to experience and interact with nature, art and technology. This open space park, with no gates, no fences enclosing it, has a great collection of themed gardens. Some of them very playful for children, like the Jardin du Dragon, home to a large sculptural steel dragon that has an great slide for kids to play on. The Jardin des Dunes et des Vents, offers a rolling landscape, pedal windmills and air-cushioned areas for children to expend lots of energy. The Jardin des Voltiges is a play-area with different kinds of moving apparatus, and many others.
“Jardin des bambous”, “Jardin des miroirs”, “Jardin des ombres”, “Jardin des équilibres”, “Jardin des treilles”, “Jardin des frayeurs”, “Jardin des îles”, “Jardins des dessins” are the names of the other gardens. Each garden represents a different theatrical or cinematic sequence, for example, the “Jardin des miroirs” is a mirror garden reflected by 28 mirrors!
