As you might know, The French tend to be a lot more traditional in what they would or would not wear. Oh and please don’t get me wrong, I love the French style, especially for children, but forget all the bright pinks, apple green and orange, mixing stripes, flowers and tartan, jeans with holes or brightly coloured shoes in most parts of Paris. The French, I think its safe to say, the Parisians, are not into this style of clothing just yet. Wonder if this will ever change?! They want their little girls to look like little girls and their little boys to wear coordinated clothes and wear proper, well made shoes.
Well, Lilly is wearing a very French designed classic handmade girls dress today from one of my favourite designers, La Fabrique de Rilou. Aurelie, the founder / designer of the brand pays great attention to detail and uses top quality fabrics. The dress, ‘robe Hortense‘ is made of 100% cotton combined with some lace details on the front and back, see photographs. A perfect dress for any occasion.
Lilly’s shoes are from the Spanish brand Babidetta. The collection of Babidetta shoes is manufactured in Spain. Where else would you find beautiful classic shoes for your children? The materials, the structure and the soles of the shoes have been chosen to ensure good ergonomics and perspiration of the feet, with particular attention to the collection “first steps” supervised by Babidetta’s pediatrician.
To finish Lilly’s look we gave her this cute little headband – It’s often been said the classiest and most versatile of fashion accessories is the bow tie, well Lilly is wearing one in her hair!
